Freddie Mercury was the legendary lead singer of Queen, formed in 1970. He was known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range, and passed away in November 1991. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003, and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004. The movie Bohemian Rhapsody, a celebration of Queen and Freddie Mercury, is currently playing in theaters.
