What makes a Hero?

WHAT MAKES A HERO

In our hospitality industry, we know that life is service. Marcus has an impressive lineup of women leaders who pay it forward every day in support of further leadership of women in our industry through mentorship and development. To share a few examples... Peggy Williams-Smith, SVP Operations, is a member and past president of TEMPO Milwaukee, member of Professional Dimensions, and is on the advisory board of Milwaukee Women, Inc. promoting inclusive leadership. Linda Gulrajani, VP Revenue Strategy, is on the board of Wisconsin Women in Lodging. Linda Price Topp, VP Sales, serves on three philanthropic boards and is an active mentor of several young women, including her own three "girl power" daughters. Erin Levzow, VP Marketing is the former president of Dallas’ Women in Wireless and recently spoke at Newaukee on the topic “The Shift on Women in Leadership”. And Andrea Foster, SVP Development, is on the advisory boards of AH&LA’s ForWard and Castell Project’s Castell@College, and is a speaker at Boston University’s Women’s Leadership Conference March 22-23, designed for students and recent graduates, which she co-founded two years ago.

DIAMONDS ARE A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND

For yet another year, four of Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ city and resort properties were awarded AAA’s Four Diamond award. The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin remains one of only 12 hotels in North America that has maintained the AAA Four Diamond award since the Diamond Ratings were first introduced in 1976. Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, WI was recognized for the 21st consecutive year; the Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City, OK was recognized for the 12th consecutive year; and the Hilton Milwaukee City Center was recognized for the eighth consecutive year.
