We're All Family Here

Our family of Marcus Hotels & Resorts properties has grown again, with the addition of the 468-room Hyatt Regency Schaumburg in the northwest Chicago suburbs, near the Schaumburg Convention Center, Woodfield Mall, Legoland Discovery Center, and Ned Brown Preserve. The property offers more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space and versatile venues such as a 3,100 square foot starlit terrace, restaurant and lounge, indoor and outdoor pools, and a fitness center. This is the first Hyatt property under Marcus management and we are so pleased to be growing another strong brand relationship. The property recently underwent a $15 million renovation and has an entirely new sense of arrival and a modern and calming aesthetic to its grand lobby and meeting and event spaces. Additionally, the hotel’s neighboring grounds are being further activated with the recent opening of City Works Eatery & Pour House and with the upcoming development of Perry’s Steakhouse.

You Have Something Very Rare

Two of our Marcus Hotels & Resorts rockstars - Suze Oostendorp, Assistant General Manager of the AC Hotel Chicago, and Kim Wagner, Area Director of Revenue - were honored recently by the Chicago Chapter of HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International) with the awards of 2018 Operations All-Star and 2018 Revenue Manager of the Year, respectively. Suze and Kim are two stellar examples of the incredible talent we have throughout Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

Did you know?

In Chinese, the pronunciation of elephant is very similar to one of the words for good luck, "Xiang". The elephant is a symbol of longevity, peace, and good luck. The very-touching Disney movie Dumbo, about a baby elephant that uses its ears to fly, is now playing in theatres.
