THE DEAL IS IN THE DETAILS

Marcus Hotels & Resorts opened the Hotel Business article "To Market, To Market" in the May issue. When asked how Marcus establishes roots in the markets in which we operate, Andrea Foster answered, "First, our general managers are 'mayors of the market' and they engage and stay connected in the communities in which we operate," she said. "After all, the markets we are in must be vibrant and desirable for our guests and customers to visit, for our associates to live and work, and for businesses and organizations in our communities to thrive. We are part of the fabric of our markets. Second, we stay engaged in the happenings within our markets, to be informed of opportunities to engage further in the hotel market. We have multiple properties in several markets, as there are various synergies to be found in this approach."

A WHOLE NEW WORLD

Marcus is selective about the management contracts we enter into - our focus is on quality, not quantity. As a billion-dollar company, we have the scale to be highly cost-effective in our operations, as well as also the focus to provide attentive, personalized service to our owners. The result is success at both the top- and bottom-lines. Andrea Foster will be attending the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference June 2-4, 2019 at the Marriott Marquis in NYC.
